Happy 2nd Nine Weeks!

Where does the time go?  We have accomplished a lot in our 1st Nine Weeks and hoping to do the same this quarter of the year!!  We recently finished our author study on O. Henry and some of my cores are currently studying Rudyard Kipling!  Please feel free to read and explore more on these authors independently!

Keep in mind our 1st A.R. book for the quarter is due November 12th….read, read, read!!  The fastest way to grow your brain!!!

Weekly Vocabulary

Hi Folks!!

I want to make clear my expectations for Vocabulary Web Homework!

We will choose the vocabulary for the week together, then decide on due date…check the homework board!

Each word must have:

*2 synonyms

*2 antonyms

*Part of Speech

*A sentence, showing you understand the meaning of the word

The vocabulary can be done in web form, box form, or list form….check your notes on those requirements!!

Wednesday, October 7th….WRITING TEST!!!!!!!!!

Our first 7th Grade On Demand Writing Asessment will be next Wednesday!  Please make sure you are in attendance on that day and that you have had a good night of sleep, as well as, a good breakfast in the morning!

Students remember….The test will be one of two types of writing:  Argumentative or Problem-Solution.

Check your notes for the outline given in-class to help you prepare!
